Our sincere thanks to Poul and Niall for an incredible week of fabulous food and great cooking experiences in a wonderful homely atmosphere. As a family of keen cooks and diners not only did we learn how to put together some amazing menus, balance flavours, new cooking techniques and efficient use of many varied ingredients but most importantly had lots of fun in a relaxed environment. Paul is a fountain of knowledge and has an amazing and practical approach to cooking in which food and flavours are celebrated and enjoyed with the greatest of ease. Bon jour! As we frequently stay at the Pullman's we visit the place quite often. The Hippopotamus was refurbished giving it a more open and brighter design. All in all good service, good quality meat and all at reasonable prices.

Interior design is nice but the food is not exceptional. The waiter thricked us when we ordered offering some cheese on the french fries. But be careful it's an Option and the result is a surprise of 4 on the bill..that was a cheesy tip.. I will definitely not go back neither recommend this place.

Quiet small place away from the busy area of the town. Nice terrace. Excellent food. I had for a main dish mussels and frites which were perfect. My friend had a goats cheese and tomato main which had the masterstroke of ice cream in the middle. It was great. Totally good service and very reasonable prices.

Absolutely Not worth the price. Despite of Ordering less spicy food, I got a food with lot of green chilly pieces. It was extremely spicy, could not even complete the food. The food quality was not good too. Potatoes were uncooked. Strong Advise ot to waste your time here. It is super expensive for the quality of food and ambience they are providing.
